Urban farm · 99 Chabanel St. West
Microgreens and gourmet mushroom supplier for Montreal restaurants
25 microgreen varieties, 10 gourmet mushrooms and edible flowers, grown on Chabanel and delivered across Greater Montreal. What lands in your kitchen Tuesday was cut the day before, not loaded onto a truck last week.
01
What we grow
We grow all of it ourselves on Chabanel. On top of that there's the foraged line, which comes and goes with what the Quebec season gives us.

Microgreens 25 varieties
Gourmet mushrooms 10 varieties
Also available as blends: mixed oysters and mixed mushrooms.
Edible flowers available all year
Grown indoors, so they're there in January the same as July. You can put them on a menu without worrying they'll vanish in three weeks.
Foraged and seasonal in season
Wild and market produce from Quebec. It changes constantly, so call us to find out what's coming in this week.
02
Grown in Montreal, available all year
Most specialty microgreens on Montreal menus come from outside the city. By the time they reach your kitchen they've already lost several days of shelf life.
Ours grow here, in an indoor farm that produces as much in January as it does in July. We do the delivery ourselves, no middleman.
What that changes for you: produce cut the day before instead of last week, and supply that doesn't collapse in February.
We do one slice of your order, and we do it well.

Formats and pricing
Two ways to order microgreens, depending on how your kitchen runs.

Living trays. The greens arrive still growing in their tray. You cut what you need at service. We take the empty trays back on the next delivery, cutting down on single-use packaging. That's our zero plastic waste formula!
Cut and packed. We harvest the trays for you, no extra charge, and it arrives ready to plate. This is the option for bigger volumes and tight kitchens.
Mushrooms. Farm-grown mushrooms are sold in 2 lb and 5 lb boxes. For specialty and wild mushrooms, we sell by the pound.
| Product | Formats |
|---|---|
| Living microgreen trays | Half tray · full tray |
| Cut microgreens | Half tray · full tray |
| Mushrooms | 2 lb box · 5 lb box |
| Specialty and wild mushrooms | By the pound |
| Market and other produce | Subject to availability |
We can do hybrid orders, with some greens living and others cut. If your menu and volumes are steady, we can set up a recurring weekly order.

Shelf life and handling
These are the numbers we actually see, not packaging estimates.
| Product | Shelf life | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Living trays | 10 days | Room temperature or 4 °C cold room, depending on variety |
| Cut microgreens | 10 days | Airtight container, refrigerated |
| Mushrooms | 10 days | In their cardboard box, refrigerated |
Cut the greens on day 7 to stop growth. Once cut, figure another 10 days in an airtight container in the fridge.
Coming off an imported product, you'll gain several days. The clock starts at our farm instead of a distribution centre.

We deliver out of 99 Chabanel Street West. With the Metropolitan right there, most kitchens on the island are under 30 minutes away.
A kitchen in Old Montreal and a kitchen in Villeray don't receive at the same hours and don't order the same volumes. That's why the route is built by sector.
We cover Greater Montreal, from Sainte-Agathe down to the South Shore.

| Second delivery of the week | $10 |
